The Conference is appropriate for clinicians new to the Balint Group method as well as experienced Balint Group leaders. The conference offers two levels of group process: Balint Groups for the review of clinical cases and Intensive-style groups in which discussion of best practices of group leadership follows case review. The curriculum is appropriate for physicians (primary care, psychiatry, other specialists), psychologists, social workers, other mental health care providers, and pastoral care providers.

To ensure the success of the small group processes ongoing throughout the conference, participants are asked to attend all their Balint group sessions. Balint groups are appropriate for professionals with active clinical practices who are willing to present cases.
